I Built a Playable Game Into a Shopify Discount

Most discount codes are just a box you type into. We gave Happy Caps one you fly through instead.

Flow Caps is a tap-to-fly game sitting on its own page on Happy Caps' Shopify store: World 1-1, Redwood Forest, straight out of the Flappy Bird school of "simple enough to lose five minutes to." You keep a gummy mascot in the air through the trees. Clear one tree and you've already won 30% off. Clear ten and it's 40% off. Clear twenty and it's 50% off. Grab the smiley mid-run for a shield that saves you from one bonk. One discount per order.

It's built on True Kin AI, the same AI OS foundation behind the early-access build I wrote about a few weeks back, with CMG running the AI and digital growth on Happy Caps' account. The game lives right on the page where the brand already talks about what's actually in the gummies (Lion's Mane, Reishi, Cordyceps, Chaga, Turkey Tail, no synthetic stimulants, no 2pm crash), so the discount isn't a pop-up interruption, it's part of the same page doing the same job: get you to actually try the product.

Under the hood it leans on a few different pieces of the AI OS. Higgsfield's CLI generated the pixel art (the mascot, the props, the mushroom field) and the AI audio layer handled the jump, score and win sound effects plus the background loop. Shopify's CLI pushed the game straight onto Happy Caps' own storefront as a real page, not an embed borrowed from somewhere else, and generated the discount codes it hands out. The email and phone capture on a win runs through the Klaviyo API, so clearing a tree also grows Happy Caps' list, not just reveals a code. And it stayed on-brand the whole way through because it ran against the AI OS's own brand guideline skills instead of someone eyeballing hex codes by hand.

Play it below, hosted right here, or on tryhappycaps.com where it actually lives for Happy Caps customers.

Next up is a creators engine on top of this, running ads and commission tracking through True Kin AI OS apps, so creators can plug straight into Flow Caps. Can't wait to see where this goes. AI building is this fun.
