What is an AI Wrangler?

What is an AI Wrangler? Every company has access to AI now. Not every company knows how to put it to work. The tools exist. The data exists. The gap is in the execution. What they don't have is someone who can take all of that and turn it into something that actually runs in production.
That's what an AI Wrangler does.
It's not prompt engineering. It's not just vibe coding a demo, it's about building products. It's the work between the idea and the outcome. Scoping the right workflow, setting guardrails, picking the right model for the job, instrumenting it so you know if it's working, and shipping it where it matters.
Think of it like this: AI is the herd. The wrangler keeps it moving in the right direction without letting it run off a cliff.
I've been building commerce platforms, marketplaces, and operational systems for years. The tools changed. The job didn't. You still need someone who understands the business problem, the technical architecture, and how to get from pilot to production without burning the whole roadmap down.
That's the work I do now, wrangling AI into commerce workflows, locker ecosystems, and operational pipelines where messy data meets real customers.
AI Wrangler isn't a title you'll find on a job board yet. But every company shipping AI into production already needs one. They just don't know what to call it.
