Since the release of Boxee Beta in January, Boxee has made major progress in creating the ultimate platform to enjoy and watch internet videos, photos, and social media on your television.

Boxee is reporting since their Beta release there has been 150,000 new users, 3 million Boxee apps launched, and 1.5 million TV episodes and Movies were watched.

This summer they are releasing a Payment Platform where users will be able to make purchases of premium content from partners offering shows, movies and channels that were previously not available online.

Boxee seems they are going in the right direction to create a win-win solution for content producers and the consumers.
