Recently embarked on a cycling journey through the stunning landscapes of Northern California. My 3-day bike adventure tour took me through some of the most picturesque and diverse destinations, creating an experience filled with breathtaking views, challenging routes, and unforgettable memories.

Highlights

Day 1 – Dunsmuir/Mt. Shasta to Burney Falls
My adventure began in the charming town of Dunsmuir, where I set out towards the iconic Mt. Shasta. I pedaled my way through lush forests, winding roads, and enjoyed awe-inspiring views of the majestic peak.

I cycled from McCloud to the spectacular Burney Falls. I felt the rush as I rode alongside crystal-clear rivers and rewarded myself with a visit to the magnificent Burney Falls, where cascading waterfalls left me in awe.

Day 2 – Burney to Lassen Park Exploration
As part of the second-day journey, I had the incredible opportunity to explore the Subway Cave—a lava tube that was formed during volcanic events just twenty thousand years ago. Today, it offers an unusual hiking experience in an area of very interesting and recent geologic activity. The trailhead for Subway Cave is located less than half a mile from the junction of Highway 89 and Highway 44 in Old Station.

I explored the natural wonders of Lassen Volcanic National Park on the third day. Driving thru geothermal features, volcanic landscapes, and tranquil lakes was a unique experience. I witnessed the geothermal wonders that make this park truly exceptional.

Day 3 – Final Stretch – Mineral to Red Bluff
As I cycled from Mineral to Red Bluff, I soaked in the changing scenery, transitioning from mountainous terrain to the fertile valleys of Northern California. The final stretch of my journey through picturesque countryside was the perfect conclusion to this adventure.
